Mike holds a master’s degree in special education and is dual-licensed in math and special education. He continues to teach at a local middle school, helping students with various disabilities access the grade-level math curriculum. Mike is passionate about incorporating his students’ interests into their sessions and showing them how math can help with areas that are important to them. Prior to tutoring, he coached baseball, basketball, and cross country. Mike and Gabby’s long-time love of sports is where Home Run got its name!

Gabby holds a master’s degree and a license in special education. She started her career as a lead classroom teacher for students on the autism spectrum. Gabby’s passion for helping students succeed both in and outside of the classroom led her to continue her education in the area of reading intervention. Gabby is a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor. She completed the coursework and a practicum in structured literacy through a program accredited by the International Dyslexia Association. Gabby follows the Orton-Gillingham approach and customizes individual lessons to meet the needs of her students.

Abby graduated from Stonehill College, where she was a Mathematics Major and Secondary Education minor. She also played on the lacrosse team there. Abby holds a Master’s in the Art of Teaching with a concentration in Mathematics from Bridgewater State University. She is licensed in math for grades 5 through 12. Abby has been teaching math at a local high school for the past twelve years. Abby also has experience in MCAS tutoring. Abby’s teaching philosophy is for students to learn the material in the way that best fits them. Her goal is to make math engaging and relatable.

Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross, where she developed a strong foundation in literature, writing, and critical analysis. She also holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Teaching-English from Bridgewater State University. She taught 8th-grade English Language Arts at a local middle school for 14 years before becoming the Librarian there. She loves helping students develop their critical reading, writing, and thinking skills.

Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education and has earned various certifications, including Montessori Elementary 1. With years of experience in the classroom, Kate is a passionate Montessori Kindergarten and Elementary school teacher dedicated to creating an environment where children thrive academically and emotionally. Kate also has experience working with students with special needs within the classroom and 1:1 setting. Outside of teaching, Kate is a proud mom to an energetic 10-year-old and enjoys spending time with family, including her Golden Retriever, Scout.
